How will the universe end?

by Christopher Young – Thursday, December 4, 2014, 9:30 PM
The fate of the universe depends on one question. Is space finite or Infinite. If space is finite the total density of the matter will recollapse under its own gravity in a big crunch. If the total density of matter is to small, the universe will expand forever which is a coasting universe. If the total density is just right, expansion will slow to zero as time goes to infinity this is a critical universe.

How is dark matter different from regular matter?

by Sydney Bertelsmann – Thursday, December 4, 2014, 10:55 PM
Regular matter occupies 26% while dark matter occupies 74% of energy of the universe. Ordinary matter is atoms that exist mostly in the form of gas. Dark matter exists in the form of freely- moving particles. But what exactly is dark matter? Dark matter does interact with regular matter but in a weak form and only gravitationally. Dark matter does not emit light or absorb light or have any charges. Dark matter also moves very slowly because if it didn’t then the galaxies would not be formed.
