I’m working on a history question and need an explanation to help me study.
The world crises of World War I, World War II and the intervening economic collapses of the 1920s and 1930s were in fact demonstrations of another developing phase of globalization. This globalization of the early to mid-twentieth century disseminated the traits of state capitalism, totality of war and the shedding of citizens’ immunity from the war effort. Moreover, the role of government had increased, suggesting that governance became more prominent than that of the gold standard since the latter was no longer feasible nor financially convenient to maintain. In conclusion, students can therefore assert that the “New Deal” in the United States was quite similar if not identical to those economic programs carried out simultaneously in countries such as Italy, Germany and Japan, Americans thereby having succumbed to the same strains of nationalism, militarism and the diminution of citizenry in the face of state political power.
(this isnt really a question its more of a statement. all you have to do is write a short little paragraph 4-5 sentences, by 11:59pm, in the paragraph you just have to agree or disagree to the statement and explain)
