Experiment 1:
Starch Production in leaves
1. Prepare beaker “H”: add 150mL dH2O to a 250mL beaker.
2. Prepare beaker “E”: add 75mL ethanol to a 150mL beaker. Place beaker “E” in a 250mL
beaker containing 25mL water.
3. Take 1 light-grown leaf and 1 dark-grown leaf.
4. Boil each of them in beaker “H” for 1 min.
5. Boil each of them in beaker “E” until it turn white.
6. Stain the leaves in petri dish with Lugol’s iodine solution.
