family members being laid off, etc.)
Several states have instituted “stay-at-home” policies. How has social
distancing impacted your community? Feel free to reach out via phone or
email to a local non-profit organization for more insight as to how social
distancing has impacted their day-to-day routines.
Provide and explain some examples of non-profit organizations working
together with for-profit companies to help combat this crisis. Some
examples:
o How are private industries working with medical facilities to
address the need for supplies (face masks, hand sanitizers,
ventilators, etc.)?
o Boston Public Schools has created partnerships in order to ensure
students receive meals each day. What other examples of this can
you see in/around Boston, or your home city?
How have your thoughts, beliefs, and feelings changed as a result of being
impacted by this pandemic?
o Do you feel sad, lonely, isolated?
o Have you views on politics been impacted? What about
healthcare? Why or why not?
Explain how this will impact your future plans? (e.g. job search, living
situation, etc.)
