You will work with a student in second through fourth grade to determine his or her strengths and areas of growth in literacy. In order to determine this information, you will craft and administer a literacy assessment to include components for assessing word recognition and oral reading fluency. Along with each assessment, your report will include an analysis of the student’s abilities based on the data gathered from your assessments. In addition, your report will include an action plan, including one SAS-aligned formal lesson plan, for how to proceed with this child’s individual reading program. The format and rubric for the evaluation of the project will be made available.
