Nutritional impact related to Diabetes Renal and Cardiovascular disorders
Purpose: To assess, evaluate, and enhance the students understanding of the nutritional impact related to Diabetes, Renal, and Cardiovascular disorders.
Preparing for the assignment
The assignment will consist of two parts.
a. Part one will consist of completing a chart identifying the cause, population at risk, treatment plan, nutritional support, and education for each disorder
b. For part two you will be assigned a specific disorder and complete the choosemyplate.org meal plan sheet to identify the food group appropriate for your specific disorder.
c. A sample chart will be provided to use for part one
d. A choosemyplate.org sample meal plan sheet will be provided for part two.
Requirements
I. Complete the chart based on the disorder identifying the population at risk, treatment, nutritional support, and education
II. Complete the choosemyplate.org sample to outline the food groups required to meet the nutritional needs of the client related on the assigned disorder
III. A sample chart will be provided for part one
IV. A sample choosemyplate.org sheet will be provided for part two
a. You will need to hand write the food group required for your assigned disorder on the sample sheet and upload by the due date
V. Part one and two must be uploaded as a single pdf document. Other forms such as jpegs, screenshots, etc will not be accepted
VI. Part one and two are graded based on these criteria
