1) Style and format. This includes the use of concise language and strong graphics to produce maximum clarity.

2) Context. Present your research question/problem/hypothesis in the context of a larger picture. Link your research to the existing body of knowledge and explain how your research contributes to the larger picture.

3) Take home message. Make your poster memorable. What exactly did you find and why does it matter?
