As a result of reading Dray (2010), your assignment is to conduct field observations of your own!
You should safely look around places you frequent–from products in your bathroom cabinet, to the cereal aisle in your local grocery store–for evidence of the semiotic landscape. Think creatively about where to look, and what meanings these signs might convey. Do you see evidence of diglossia? Take photos of what you find!

Write a caption for your photo that uses our key concepts to explain your observations and analysis of the way language is being used in the sign.
Your caption should also explain differences or similarities between your observations and those made by Dray (2010).
