Discussion Question on Organizational Design and Analysis

1. How would you describe the organization you work for (or one you are familiar with) on each of the basic design dimensions? For example, is it a very formal organization or an informal organization?    Do the size, technology, and mission of your organization directly affect you? How?

2. What issues have you encountered in completing your Organizational Analysis? What have you done to overcome them?   Use the concepts from our course and at least one outside scholarly / peer reviewed source to substantiate your answer here, be specific!

Here is my own personal details in order for you to write in first person with an understanding of my challenges:

(Some of the issues I encountered was: figuring out how to approach the analysis, organizing the data from the interviews and interpreting the statements in the interviews to give the reader a clear understanding of the organization’s culture – creating a visual for the reader. – in order to overcome them I had to step back and try to understand as a leader what is it I would need to know in order to make changes in my own organization.)
