This will be your final essay of the term and it will be using what we learned about critical approaches, lit analysis and lit devices. -You will pick a song that you think has a real message and meaning in the words. Songs often address issues that are occurring in society, issues in the artist′s life, ect. This is similar to the project paper. -You should use information about the writer/s (this may not be the singer), historical, political and social events. You will strengthen your support by using lyrics and devices that you notice that you see to support this. -In this essay so you want to stay on point and really focus on one clear point or approach. Do not waste time summarizing the song; the audience is informed. -You will then use the presence of lit devices to help you develop your argument. 3 pages (not including works cited page) 12pt font, times new roman, standard margins The paper must follow MLA format Unique title No logical fallacies or poor rhetoric (do not make assumptions) You must use 4 sources that are based on fact; such as library books, databases, and academic journals. Citations should not be the bulk of your paper. One will be the song lyrics. There is no RD due for this essay.
