Write a report that details what you learnt about your assigned topic (ethics, sustainability, diversity, skills or industrial relations). You should discuss what you learnt from each of the following parts of this assessment task (3.2): • your previous knowledge of the topic before you enrolled in this subject
• a synthesis of your individual research (assessment task 3.2.1) (If you received high marks for 3.2.1 , just rework it slightly in accordance with your tutors comments. If your marks were not great, you need to do more research work and then synthesis this new information)
• preparation of interview questions (assessment task ) {what were your expected answers?)
• interview of your group’s practicing engineer (paraphrase the answers that you received to your questions)
• reflection on answers from the engineer (and now these differed from your expected answers) [Hint: use Kolb’s learning cycle]
• how your topic relates to the other topics from your group interview and what you learnt from answers to other group members’ questions (NS: you do not need to relate your topic to every other topic, just the ones you think are relevant)
• group discussion you had including preparation of your oral presentation (assessment task 3.2.3)
Here are some important requirements for your report:
1, Your report should be around 2000-2500 words, not including the appendices (i.e., around 4-5 pages)
2. use a report format including table of contents, headings, references and appendices
3. Your submission must include:
1 . Table of Contents
2, Body of your report (2000-2500 words, 4-5 pages) including introduction, main body and a conclusion
3. Your name and student 10 number as well as the page number in the footer of each page after the table of contents
4. Bibliography {and in-text citations) formatted strictly according to the Harvard UTS sby’le
5. Appendices including the following:
1. A copy of the formal ‘thank-you’ letter that your group sent to your practicing engineer 2. A copy of your practicing engineer’s business card including phone and email contact details
a. A copy of your group ‘s photo with your engineer
4. use your word processor’s spelling and grammar checker with the language set to AUSTRALIAN ENGLISH. Submissions with more than 3 spelling or grammar errors may be rejected by the marker. If necessary, seek help from UTS:HELPS
